About Me

Hey there!

I’m Zephyr, and I’ve been a K-Pop fan since 2015. My introduction to the genre was through BTS’ Boy in Luv, which, to be quite honest, didn’t make the best first impression. I was more of a classical music girl at the time. But I grew intrigued by this whole new world of music and I decided to keep digging into K-Pop to see what else I could find that suited my tastes. Needless to say, the rest is history. My ultimate group is BTS (they worked their magic pretty well), but I also enjoy listening to the works of SEVENTEEN, Day6, Red Velvet, BlackPink, SHINee, and more.

Now, why did I choose to create a blog for K-Pop music reviews when there’s YouTube, which is constantly being bombarded by reaction channels with practically identical thumbnails and all caps video titles? Well, I’m pretty camera shy and my thoughts (believe me, there’s many) always tend to come out better in the written word. I want to share my opinions on what’s happening in K-Pop without worrying about rambling or making a fool of myself.

That being said, I hope you enjoy going through my music reviews. It’s worth mentioning that I’m no expert, so I’ll focus less on the complexities of the music and more on the overall effect that the songs and their music videos have. But I may express opinions that differ from yours, and I ask for open-mindedness in this area. These opinions are mine with no intention to offend, and I hope that there will be a good level of respect between everyone. Agreeing to disagree is always okay.

Alright, spiel over~ If there’s any interest in contacting me, my email is thezandtmachine@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading,
